Mothers of Preschoolers
Living Water Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) invites all pregnant moms and mothers of children who are newborn through kindergarten to attend their first fall meeting on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Fine Arts Academy (238 Jennings Rd, WL). This year's theme is "Momology -The Art & Science of Mothering." Living Water MOPS meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from September through May. Free child care is provided. Servant Event Sunday - September 12
Please check out the large selection of projects and tasks that we will be doing in downtown Whitmore Lake on Sunday, September 12 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Choose the team and project that you and your family want to support. Then come to the display tables in the atrium to sign up for a team. Each team will have a Team Captain, who will contact you with more information about the work assignment. Each project or task will take two (2) hours, although some may require pre-work such as passing out fliers in the local neighborhoods. Please speak to any member of the Servant Event Committee about what a task entails, so that you dress properly, bring the right equipment, and feel confident doing the work. Small Group Huddle
On Saturday, Sept. 25, Ron Wrightson will be the featured speaker for a Small Group Huddle at St. Luke-Ann Arbor. Ron will share his perspective on the impact of small groups on his own life, the lives of small group members, church life, and community life. Small group leaders, members, and prospective members at all St. Luke sites are invited to this morning event. A continental breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. followed by worship, announcements, speaker, and break-out sessions.
