Third Quarter Mission Offering

To Mexico With Love
This quarter, our mission offering goes to two Mexican missionaries: Felix and Brenda.
Felix is a Bible translator in Mexico, and Brenda is an evangelist in a sensitive Asian country.

Felix Ventura and his wife Lupe are members of the indigenous Mazatec people of the state of
Oaxaca, in southern Mexico. After attending a two-year Bible college, Felix pastored a small village congregation for a year, but felt called to bring the Word of God to his people in their own language.
He joined forces with Dr. David Schram, a member of Wycliffe Bible Translators who had drafted most of the New Testament in the Mazatec language, and together they have been checking and revising the draft into final form.
Brenda Cruz (not her real name) recently graduated from a four-year seminary program in missiology. For several years, she has felt the Lord calling her to a certain large, oppressed ethnic group in Asia, and she has done everything in her power to answer that call. . She has been accepted as a member of the Mexican mission organization Bienestar Para Las Naciones (Wellbeing for the Nations).Brenda recently arrived in Asia, where she is working with a small team of Mexican missionaries in a large city. She is attending a university there to learn the national language, after which she expects to make arrangements to work with the ethnic group to which the Lord has called her.
